My Knitting Story

 I began knitting dolls for charity in 2015 after reading this article about a donation drive to support Syrian refugees in Canada. Since then, I have donated over 200 dolls to charities. Particularly to Health Partners International Canada.
 

I was fascinated by the construction of these dolls and the versatility of the design. As I continued to personalize my dolls and share my efforts on Instagram, I began to receive many requests for my patterns. In 2019, I opened a Ravelry store — Esther Braithwaite Designs — to distribute my patterns. 

In the last year, my designs have been translated into four languages and knit by crafters in over 30 countries!   Your purchases allow me to develop new patterns, provide support to knitters, and create and ship dolls to children in need around the world.
